My first BMW Airhead

My first BMW was a 1982 R65LS, it wasn't long (about 2 years) when I longed for a bigger engine sooo... It became an R100/65/90LS/RS/90S with flat side Mikuni's blue wheels and windshield but the original Henna paint. cost me lots of $$$$ but won 3 awards for Sport modified, very fast but a turtle compared to an oilhead so an R1100RS was next then an R1150RT and Now a R1200CLC Gotta love those Beemers! :heart :clap :brow :twirl

I was keeping my eyes open for a mono.. I used to have a beauty R100 but it was way too pretty for me. I was scared to get it scratched/dirty etc.. I wanted a bike I can play with. Mine was the black CS..

Sold this to a friend... so it is still in the family.

The R65 mono fits me better.. smaller, and lighter. cheaper! :heart

where did you get the tank cover?

Well the name came from the ex-service tech. He put in "wuzred" as the color of my bike so when I paid the bill it would print it out on the receipt.
I liked it and the rest is history.
The red-to-orange-to-silver IS a unique look, I just got tired of it too.

longest winter ever...

... especially when you are waiting for that package of parts to arrive
... and there is snow on the ground
... and you hear the salt truck drive by
... and you live in the great white north. :ca
... and you read ride reports of people in warmer climes...

oh well.. this is a pic thread.
