1977 r100/s

Undergoing restoration. Color is not final, but keeps it from rusting after sand blasting parts. Painted the plastics to match so it looks legit for now.

I think it is called a Meyer, or Mayer....I really like it...It breaks up the chest air very nicely, and still give an open bike look and feel...and it seems really solid.

Been enjoying my new Bill Meyer saddle this summer..
Check the Tom Webb stainless exhaust pipes..they have a nice growl....(thanks to Larry at Bavarian Cream)...

powder coated my flaking chrome racks

..shortened the turn signal stalks a bit while I had them off, too

thanks, my second season with the RT...after a 20 year break in riding...enjoying it again immensely!...has been fun to fix this one up a bit....plan to keep her for a while!

A '72 with side reflectors on the head light ears? Is it a long wheel base machine?

Our VINs must be pretty close together. My Dec.'72 build-date LWB is VIN 2999159. Sold as a '73.

Thanks! Are side reflectors not included on a 72? I can no longer tell what is stock vs interchangeable mods for these bikes during this period. There seemed to be a lot of minor tweaks at each part of the factory to dealer to owner chain.

I was fortunate to find her in the condition I did, but even then it's been a 8+ month gauntlet of a learning experience getting her cleaned up and running.

She's a SWB bike. Not the best for long distance touring, but more than enough for my needs.

Our VINs must be pretty close together. My Dec.'72 build-date LWB is VIN 2999159. Sold as a '73.

I think I'm a year off from you. Built late '71 sold as a '72. Frankly, I'd take either one in a heartbeat Most enjoyable motorcycle I've ever had the fortune to ride.
