R90/6

Here is a picture of my 1975 R90/6. I completed the restoration of this (very rough) bike about 6 years ago after it was "gifted" to me by my good friend Gary Stuber in 1999. I have since lost track of him... so, if you're out there Gary, the bike's doing great. Thanks again.

This is what I started with. It had been through a Kansas tornado with wind blast and a few dings.

78 R100rs

Having been spurned by the '77 'RS group in the Vintage Barn at West Bend (I was told to park on the other side of the aisle with my '78 - apparently "Original" was the operative word on the banner), I went to the vintage races at Road America last week and found out how it feels to be sexually harassed. All these guys kept staring - and I'm guessing it wasn't because they find this balding overweight 55-y-o guy attractive. So I found this 'kindred' CS coupe to pose with my bike ...

I just added this to the fleet:
180634819-M.jpg

Rolled the dice and bought it sight unseen from 1400 miles away. The picture is from somewhere in Colorado on the way home.

Nice pic, C.R.! How's the bike handle with the new rubber?

I like it. Even rode in the rain Monday morning, just to see what parts of me get wet (with my toes above the lower fairing bottoms, nothing to speak of!). Thanks for the lesson. When I finally get a chance, I'd like to meet your GB scooter trash gang for a scoot. :bliss

Here are my 2 babies - 69 R60US & 73 R75/5

The R60 now had Heinrich Upper and Lowers on it; the R75 is customized as a Florida Gators bike and I put it in shows against all the $100K Chromies.

Gator bike

Will be at Homecoming. Last year I was the parade unit directly in front of the Florida band.
Haven't heard where in line this year.
Usualy park bike in front of my old fraternity - DU - right on University across from field.
Look forward to seeing you.
Mark
