I feel I should apologize to the AIRHEAD GODS - it only has 25,000 miles on it. I've been bustin to get it out of the garage (cleaning, replacing, tuning). I re-registered and licensed it today. Still need to tweak the carbs a little.

What kind of fairing is that??

Here WAS mine, before I foolishly sold it.

I am trying to find the right airhead even as I write this..........

One of 18 G/Ss I've built

This was a fun one. I call it the Eddie Bauer Special with the color combo.

Here's a picture of my new Airhead. It's an 82. I just bought it in Kentucky and road it 1500 miles back to Colorado. It was a cold ride but the bike ran great. It has 70,000 miles on it and it has recently had a compleate top end with new exhaust valves and seats. It seems to have a small leak out of the rear hub but at least it has the rear disk brake. I had the same thing happen to my previous 77R100S and it greased out the brake shoes.

I love this bike!

It's great to be riding again!

well, here's one way to do a stealth 1st post...

not new to the MOA, not new to airheads (this is my 3rd resurrection), took a hiatus to Ducati and a K11, and now I have another /7 project underway... jumping on the retro-cafe bandwagon.

so, here's my airhead history:

here's me on the '79 R100RT. this bike was brought back from the dead about 12 years ago. I dearly miss this bike; 80,000 miles of joy.

during the winter of 99/00 I resurrected this R65LS (yeah, it leaked)... which I also miss. The person that I sold it to had it beautifully restored and painted marakesh with white wheels. You can see the Paso in the background. :)

I bought a K1100RS to ride as a commuter for about 4 years:

and recently sold that to resurrect another /7... this bike was an R80RT. It has 22K miles on it. Here it is in its current state:
