November and Nova Scotia

.... I know that this is a bit of a distance from most but the weather in Nova Scotia is particularly wonderful this year. Next Monday I head off to Cape Breton for a few days....(Baddeck: Steve, Paul, Ron know this place) ... temps are anticipated to be about 45F. Riding over Mt Thom will be colder. Locally, most think I'm nuts but with the prolonged temps at speed that might not be able to be determined :uhoh Anyway, my last significant ride of the season. A Rounder in will and attitude but when the salt hits I pack it in. We should be living in..... Arizona?... Nevada?.... Florida?.... this time of year. (BTY we are looking for winter habitation). Intend to post some photos. -Bob

Nova Scotia and Cape Breton

Somehow I think of Fog in November.

And winds whipping the coast.

And of Fog in November.

Hardy folk pulling up Cod Fish from the Grand Banks :buds

And of Fog in November.

Ships fighting to keep off the rocks in howling winds.

And of Fog in November so thick you could cut it with a chainsaw, put it in a toaster and still spread jam on the remainder.

Hardy folk in Nova Scotia. :wave

We spent about 10 days in Baddeck 3 years ago. What a great base to explore Cape Breton! Looking forward to your pictures. Don't forget the food porn!

food porn: should be some opportunity for that. Going to a small gov't conference
on policy ..... since they pay for the food I should be able to round up some diverse examples. Aside from the food angle, you are so correct regarding Baddeck as a wonderful 'base camp' for exploring CB. -Bob

Good luck

Have a great trip Bob. Ride safe. I can't wait to come up next year and hopefully I will make it over to Rons on the way up so I can check out PEI too.

I will be out on the bike this weekend myself camping on VT. It will probably be my last trip of the year.

Take lots of pics!
