Road hazards on the Eastern Shore

We rode Maryland's upper Eastern Shore today and it was a perfect day for it! We took the roads closest to the shore line and wove in and out of all the little towns from Elkton down to Rock Hall and back.

Today seemed to be the day that the farmers were harvesting their corn. At one point, we had the poor timing to be riding by as the farmer was harvesting the rows closest to the road. We were literally pelted with corn cobs! There were several other areas where the roads were covered with corn cobs and husks. That made for some interesting...and different road hazards to look out for.
