Roadgear Softbags...

I'm trying to decide on Bags for my R1100S ... I need to get some before the rally.... I was thinking the BMW hard bags until I saw these Roadgear Hi-Adventure Jumbo Sport Saddle Bags... Anyone have any experience with these? I don't plan on keeping the bags on the bike that much so I thought soft bags might be the way to go.... I am concerned about scratching the paint on the side covers..... Anything else to worry about with soft bags?

Thanks!

Heat from the exhaust may not allow you to mount soft bags I know the aerostich soft bags won't go on a Gs650 because of proximity of exh not sure of R1100s!!!
