Reflection in Quarry Lake
Wisconsin's Harrington Beach State Park
That shot was taken about 30 miles north of Milwaukee, Wisconsin at Harrington Beach State Park. The photo was shot at a 45 degree angle down from above the water on the Quarry's ledge. Looking down on the water, the water was a mirror reflection of the blue sky and the clouds. The sun was going down in the western sky, which put the low sun on the tree.
Below photo is the same location, but a few minutes later in the day.
I have taken this road several times and the photo alway turns out different with the position/strength of the sun and the different seasons. I just love the way the Amish have restored the rural environment of the Wisconsin countryside.
Wildcat Mountain State Park
State Road 33 runs from LaCrosse to Wildcat State Park, with the five miles between Ontario and Wildcat Mountain hard to beat for well maintained twisties.
The Wisconsin Airhead Club has their State Rally at the park on the first weekend of October. These photos were taken on the Sunday morning breakfast Run. After a breakfast in Ontario, most everyone headed over to the Slimey Crud Run. It would be hard not to find a great route from Wildcat Mountain to the Crud Run. Hope to see you at this years Wisconsin Airhead Rally, all makes and brands are very welcome.

A nice spot to pull over and marvel at all the leaves on the ground and in the trees, and wonder what this years Wisconsin Winter will bring. Little did I know that the upcoming winter would bring over 8 feet of snow for the season, breaking records that go back to the 1800's
