Overlooking two river systems, the Oconomowoc on the east and the Little Oconomowoc
to its west.
Both rivers are connected to a major grouping of lakes just south of the Washington County line.
The whole area is filled with woods and marshes.
Directly to the east of Holy Hill lies Glacier Hills County Park.

Dheinsville Settlement
Holy Hill Rd. & Fond du Lac Ave.

Established in 1842 by the Phillip Dhein family, one of several families from the Hunsruck area of Germany who settled here, this crossroads settlement has been designated as an historic district. Most of these buildings have been preserved and many are in use today, as they were more than a century ago. Christ Church, built of limestone in 1862, houses a museum operated by the Germantown Historical Society that contains displays and artifacts of early pioneer life. Walking tour brochures are available from the Historical Society. Today all 22 of the original structures remain. Also youÔÇÖll get a chance to visit the Sila Lydia Bast Bell Museum and information center.

Directions: The Crossroads are about 10 miles south of West Bend.
Take Hwy "P" south, left on Hwy 143 (Fond Du Lac Road) to the Settlement.

Note: This Historic Settlement is not a destination,
but a pleasant wayside stop
on your way to Holy Hill.

Surfs up Dude!!!

If their skin is red,
it's not sunburn,
it's frostbite

They surf until the surf board ices up and gets too slippery.

Sheboygan hosts the annual Dairyland Surf Classic, the largest freshwater surfing competition in the world.

The "Endless Summer" type movie called "Step into Liquid" was filmed in the Sheboygan surf
