Alternator Belt kit

Seems like I'm posting a lot of questions here lately, but I just bought my bike this spring, and I'm encountering all these maintainence issues for the first time as I do my 36K service.

My '95 R1100RS has the early-style adjustable alternator belt system, which is out of adjustment. I have no history on when the belt was last changed, so I decided to change it. According to two BMW dealers in the area, you can't get the old belt anymore, so I bought the kit to upgrade the belt to the newer style adjustment-free pulley system.

Everything looks pretty straightforward except for the lower pulley. It came in two pieces, and I'm not sure how it goes together. Maybe it'll be clear when I pull the lower pulley off the bike, but I was wondering if anyone with experience could enlighten me before I dig into this one.

Thanks,
Jim
