Is there a way to insert a smilie (one of my own) in a sig?

You can include the text the provides the call for the smile. For example, Tina has included the text ":"cat, minus the quotes, in her sig.
To find the text, open the smilie page and copy the text next to your desired symbol out, or try and remember it. You can then add that text to your signature.
