HMM, RUSH for the next National Rally

After reading the article in ON, maybe RUSH would be a great Rally entertainer for next year?:clap

That would be unbelievable...

I saw Rush in concert in Minneapolis a couple of weeks ago. They were absolutely fantastic. Some bands lose a step and end up playing the casino circuit. Rush has definitely NOT lost a step, they sound great and put on a great show.

There's an incredible amount of talent in just 3 people.

Rush on a Beemer.

Just got back from a Rush show at the Gorge in Washington State. Took the GS over the pass, camped out and saw a great show.

First time I have ever seen them. They were fantastic. I dont want to gush about them but really great. They actually look pretty old. I think they are approaching 60. Made me feel better about being 47:p

Did I say it was a good show?

Aw shoot! I thought she was talking about El Rushmo. :clap

Now think of this; Rush playin their hearts out at the 09 Rally, then the next day Alton Brown putting on the ritz with his cooking; sort of "BAM" Beemer style cooking show with food for everyone!

Following up with late night bull whip training via Harrison Ford Indiana Jones for Beemer guys!

What a rally...who needs locations?

My Vote

My Vote is in for RUSH, then I second it for cooking by Alton.
Rush is our favorite band, and yeah they always put on a great show. We saw The Snakes and Arrow tour last summer with the youngest ( the oldest had a big boo-boo lip as she was 300 miles north at College) when they played Milwaukee.

Please don't make the National turn into another Sturgis. Where a bike rally has turned into a concert venue. They should change name to the Sturgis Music Festable and Trailer gathering. No better keep lower key bands and keep orientation of rally focused on motorcycles not concerts.

New music for me

A mix of second tier bands would suit me fine. Last year the number of German-themed bands was a little over the top. I would prefer some of the current alt-country bands be the focus. There are great bands across the county that play this type of music.

Mid-50s actually, but who's counting?

I heard that to get Rush would mean a rally-fee of about $75. I'd *GLADLY* pay this because with only a few thousand people in the audience, the seats would be SO much better than what I got for a higher price on their last tour.

Huh???? Sixty is old? I don't think so. Your tune will change as you age. Trust me. :)

OK, I have to check the manual and find out how to get out of this one. Let's see, page 83 and 84, oh, Apologize:blush

oops, I meant... oh heck, I should just quit while I am behind and apologize, sorry.

My tune has changed...:wave
