I am a 1200 GS rider from North Carolina. I am contemplating a solo "Alaska of the East" ride this July or August which consists of Nova Scotia, Newfoundland, and Labrador. I plan to ride counterclock wise and am looking to join riders that are taking the same route letting me tag along through the trans lab highway only. I am aware that satellite telephones are available free from the departing city of Happy Valley/Goose Bay but my lack of hearing can do no justice! A 'SPOT' satellite tracker has been known not to operate too well at these latitudes. Anyone traversing this route at a given time? Thank you.........
