IRON BUTT RIDER NEEDS ASSISTANCE ASAP HAS R1200 RTP

Jeremy Lovell is underway. He has bypassed the fuel pump module to get it running. He needs a fuel pump module for a 2007 R1200RTP. If someone has one and could bring it to the Buffalo (preferably) or the Jacksonville checkpoint that would be outstanding. He would be able to swap out his bypassed unit for a good unit so your bike would be able to make it home.

Please crosspost to any BMW forum that could help with this.

His cell number is 270-776-6008 if you can provide assistance.

Thanks

Steve

Had I known this, Jeremy could have had the spare one I carry at Buffalo. Obviously had got taken care of though. Rider support during the IBR was awesome.

EXAMPLE: Perry Karsten's FJR sucked a final drive on the ride down from Canada. Another FJR rider he found on the ride down took his final drive off his bike and they put it on Perry's so he could make Seattle.

There was more - much more - that those not riding the IBR did to help those of us that were.

Thanksto all you great folks...

Impossible. Everyone knows that FJRs are bullet proof and only BMWs have FD failures. :laugh

So this is TWO BMW motorcycles with the same fuel pump issue (Wallace French lost his in Texas and had to borrow a Kawasaki to finish)

Wallace's final drive also bit the big one!

Am I understanding this correctly?
