SCAVENGER HUNT FUN RUN &
LAGUNA SECA MOTOGP
RACE WATCHING PARTY
SUNDAY 7/24
Sunday we're doing something different. We're hosting a moto-scavenger hunt put on by the Cyclone Riders. Some of you may have read the news story about Vikk Villareal, a local musician and rider who was killed tragically a year after his wife also passed away in a motorcycle accident, leaving behind two children. Vikk was a customer of ours and dear friend to many of the local clubs that we support. So, while we had this event already in the works, the Cyclone Riders thought it would be appropriate to use it to raise a little money to assist the family, and we agreed.
Riders should meet at Moto Liberty betwen 11am and 12:30pm to get signed up, have some food and drinks, and buy some raffle tickets for a good cause. But you can particpate just for fun, too. You'll be given a list of items to seek around town and turned loose to go snap photos proving you found them. A camera phone or digital camera is necessary to participate in the scavenger hunt. Riders must return to Moto Liberty no later than 3pm, at which time they will turn in their entries and can ride over to Fox & Hound for an after party to watch the Laguna Seca round of MotoGP - live at 4pm. It's fun and a great excuse to get the significant other or your kid out on the bike with you, too.
From 3:30-5pm at Fox & Hound (12651 Vance Jackson, just East of I-10 and DeZavala), racing action will be on the big screens, with the audio overhead for the RedBull USGP from Laguna Seca. Winners of the scavenger hunt will be announced and prizes awarded. Even if you can't participate in the scavenger hunt, come join us for the race watching party. Last week's MotoGP was tightly contested, and Laguna is sure to be more of the same. We fully expect to pack out our half of F&H with race fans, so get there early.
